Whole Person Care

The Collaborative Care Initiative brings adjunct therapies that support mental wellness under one umbrella, making them more accessible to people in all parts of our community.

Neurofeedback, mindful movement, spiritual direction, and nutritional coaching are supportive therapies that help our mind, body and spirit work together to promote our healing.

  • An advancement in the field of neurofeedback, MCN is a low-intensity neurofeedback treatment that requires passive receiving from the participant during sessions.

Using just three pico-watts of energy (literally one-millionth of what your cellular device emits), MCN helps the brain "reset" and regulate itself more effectively. It’s like giving your brain a gentle nudge to get back on track. This is accomplished by exposing the brain to a set of pulses at frequencies that have been designed to encourage your brain to heal.

MCN has shown promising results in addressing a variety of conditions. Here are a few ways it might help you or your loved ones: depression, anxiety, sleep issues, ADHD and focus problems, PTSD, addiction, mild traumatic brain injury, and Autism. In most cases, MCN can achieve positive results with fewer sessions than traditional neurofeedback.

Our MCN practitioners are clinically trained and licensed professional counselors, certified IASIS MCN practitioners and avid learners in the field of medical neurobiology. This allows them to utilize skills from all these disciplines, as well as relevant assessment tools, to customize MCN treatment to meet your unique needs.

  • Healing the inner self from a holistic perspective includes paying loving attention to the condition of our souls.

The Collaborative Care Initiative at Crossroads is offering Spiritual Direction as a form of soul care for both individuals and groups.

Spiritual direction is not advice or solutions, but an on-going process of discovery and opening, of becoming and being, and increasing our awareness of God’s presence in all of life through prayer and accessible spiritual practices.  It’s also a safe, non-judgmental space to explore spiritual questions and struggles in the presence of caring, attentive spiritual companionship.

Spiritual Direction is slow and reflective as we join together in the mystery of God’s loving, pursuing relationship with us. Over time, spiritual direction can help believers grow in the following ways: deepening awareness of God's compassionate love for them-especially when they feel unlovable, sensitivity to their own heart's desires or resistance to the Lord's work, love for God, His people and His work in the world.

  • Nutrition isn’t just about food; it’s about how what we consume supports every facet of our health and well-being. From building a resilient immune system to fostering mental clarity, energy, and vitality, nutrition serves as the integral piece for a balanced, thriving life. By recognizing that food affects our physical, mental, and emotional states, "Integrative Nutrition" becomes a key player in cultivating harmony across mind, body, and spirit.

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all strategy, Integrative Nutrition at CCI embraces the uniqueness of each person. It’s about discovering how nourishment can fuel not just your body, but also your healing and growth. Whether it’s supporting a calm mind, fostering emotional balance, or boosting your overall vitality, nutrition becomes an accessible, powerful tool in your wellness journey.

Consider it a form of preventive care that equips you to live with greater longevity and resilience. By integrating thoughtful, nourishing choices into daily life, you nurture a strong foundation for overall health. At its core, Integrative Nutrition is about empowering you to take ownership of your well-being, connecting the pieces of your health puzzle, and thriving as a whole person.

Your experience begins with a personalized, hour-long assessment. During this session, we’ll explore your health history, food and supplement intake, digestive health, allergies or intolerances, and personal health goals. By the end of your visit, you’ll have a clear roadmap of actionable steps to support your unique needs and aspirations. Ongoing follow-ups help ensure progress is assessed, and any necessary adjustments are made to guide you toward lasting results.

  • We believe that true healing involves the whole person—not just the mind, but the body and spirit as well. Research now provides ample evidence that memories, particularly traumatic ones, are stored not only in our mind, but in our body. These practices, often referred to as somatic (from soma, meaning body) help individuals reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and experience peace in the present moment

Our groups and individual sessions are designed to be accessible for all bodies & abilities. These practices are adaptable and can be done in a chair, on the floor, or lying down—no experience or flexibility required.

    Somatic work can help participants:

    • Regulate the nervous system

    • Restore body awareness and safety

    • Process emotions that may be difficult to express verbally.

    • Develop skills for grounding in the present moment and reducing ruminating thoughts

    • Gain tools for self-regulation and self-compassion to use between counseling sessions.

Types of Individual and Group Class Sessions Offered

Each class is designed to support healing of the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through trauma-sensitive practices rooted in compassion and clinical insight. We offer a variety of classes, both with and without Christian faith integration. Read the descriptions below to and feel free to reach out to discuss the options that would best meet your need and preference.

    • Trauma-Informed Yoga for Emotional Regulation

      • This class is designed as a gentle, supportive space where clients can reconnect with their bodies in safety and at their own pace. Using grounding practices, mindful movement, breathwork, and guided relaxation, participants are encouraged to notice what feels right for them and choose what best supports their well-being.

      • Trauma-Informed Yoga emphasizes nervous system regulation, body awareness, and cultivating compassion toward oneself. It is especially well-suited for individuals navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, or depression, and for those who would benefit from slower, choice-based movement that prioritizes healing over performance.

      • No prior yoga experience needed.

    • Flow + Releasing (Trauma-Sensitive)

      • This class blends two complementary styles: a mindful, flowing breath to movement practice that builds energy and strength, followed by restorative postures that invite stillness, deep release, and calm. While movement is more active than in Trauma-Informed Yoga, the class remains accessible and sensitive to individual needs, with options offered throughout.

      • This practice is ideal for those seeking to reduce stress, improve flexibility, and cultivate balance between effort and rest.

      • Clients leave feeling both energized and restored, carrying a greater sense of grounding and peace into daily life.
