Providing Access

We envision communities where self-protection gives way to love, connection fosters flourishing and healing unlocks the door to generations of change.

With outreach to under-served communities, caregivers isolated by a loved one’s mental illness and support for missionaries around the world, CrossRoads is providing access to hope and healing in the mental health deserts of our communities.

  • We believe decisions about mental wellness care should be based on people, not on fees.

CrossRoads utilizes a combination of diverse strategies to make mental wellness care financially accessible for those in need. You’ll find that a lot of our clinicians are in network with major insurance providers, some offer a sliding scale fee, and all participate in our counseling scholarship program for those with demonstrated financial need.

  • Effective mental wellness care usually requires consistent, regular visits for a period of time.

What is one to do if there is no such care in their community? This has been a barrier to flourishing for many living in urban and rural communities, as well as those serving cross-culturally in remote parts of the world.

CrossRoads has a strong track record of working with trusted community partners who have initiated requests for services within their community. These partnerships have allowed us to open eight satellite offices, providing access to in-person, faith-informed, culturally appropriate care within communities that have few such resources.

In addition, we offer assessment, support and counseling for missionaries serving throughout the world.

  • Advances in science and technology have led to new research, illuminating the interrelationship of the brain, nervous system and gut biome, and their direct impact on our mental health functioning.

Evidence-based treatments like neurofeedback, integrative nutrition and somatic therapies are available, but often siloed in specialized practices, expensive and out of network for insurance providers. As a result, they are under-utilized in lower socio-economic communities.

CrossRoads launched the Collaborative Care Initiative to address these barriers. By contracting with experienced service providers in these fields, our goal is to make whole person mental wellness care available to all.

  • We long for communities of faith to be places that promote mental wellness, reduce stigma, and provide safety in the midst of struggle.

CrossRoads offers workshops to equip communities of faith to foster relational health, emotional unity, and effectively care for those who are suffering.
