As a counselor, I consider it an honor and privilege to walk with people who are struggling, grieving, healing, and persevering. I approach counseling from a Christian worldview, facing the reality of pain and suffering, while holding on to the hope and reality of redemption, healing, and change.

I view counseling as a unique relationship and as a process of collaboration to holistically understand the person or people in front of me. I use a multi-faceted, though highly relational, approach that considers the whole person and one’s unique context and life trajectory to bring change, growth, and healing into all areas of life. My work with couples and families includes breaking entrenched patterns and establishing new connections to deepen intimacy and enrich relationships.

I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri. My counseling education includes a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University and a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. In addition to my work as a counselor, I am currently a professor of counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. Previously, I have served in ministry roles, various teaching roles, and on active duty in the military (U.S. Navy).
