Chrissy Stergos’ life-long affinity toward counseling and her years of work as a pastor and counselor have given shape to a broad foundation of experience and knowledge. Her love for people of all types, ages, and personalities is her strong suit. She works with a wide variety of clients, including (but not limited to) men and women in life transitions, older teens and young adults, couples, and parents of teens or young adults, as well as seniors. She also brings experience with foster care (child or parent), anxiety, mental illness, grief, trauma, and spiritual direction.
Working from an integrative model of counseling, she incorporates multiple evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness and Grounding work. Chrissy is also trained in EMDR and offers Micro-Current Neurofeedback services.
In addition, Chrissy is a Generations Deep certified group leader, utilizing a group setting to help break cycles of generational dysfunction by changing inherited negative patterns for clients and their families.
Bringing 20+ years of experience as a pastor and licensed mental health counselor to her practice, Chrissy Stergos is also co-founder of a non-profit organization, A Seat at the Table, which utilizes a residential family structure to help meet the needs of at-risk young people transitioning into adulthood.
In addition to counseling, Chrissy is available for speaking engagements, consulting, and conversation.
