Margaret is a Licensed Professional Counselor who began her practice in 2014. She has counseling experience working with adolescents, college students and adults of all ages. Her desire is to facilitate healing of the past, develop self-awareness in the present, and foster hope for the future.
Margaret has journeyed with adolescents and young adults through issues of anxiety, depression, and self-harm, working closely with their families to provide care and a safe place for healing. Her experience also includes working with clients of all ages who have encountered harm in their important relationships and seek to reclaim dignity, wholeness and secure attachment with others. She is a certified EMDR practitioner who offers targeted healing to clients dealing with the aftermaths of trauma.
She works from an integrative model of counseling which seeks to engage the whole person– mind, heart and body. She seeks to support clients as they grow in understanding their story, and is passionate about equipping them with helpful skills and tools to improve thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Margaret uses various therapeutic modalities to meet the particular needs of each client including, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal informed Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Margaret lives in St. Louis with her husband and their four kids. Outside the counseling room she enjoys being active with her family outside, the pursuit of all things cozy and a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
